The pirates on the docks drew their cutlasses and attacked. **Cal-El** fired arrows from the gallery, while **Eryn** used her **Boots of Striding and Springing** to leap past **X'or** and land on a dock facing a second pirate while **X'or** had engaged the first pirate. **Cassandra** and **Angelique** provided cover with their bows as the pirates were systematically cut down. During the chaos, the enslaved goblins scrambled into boats, and the **Company** allowed them to flee into the mist.

 Continuing their exploration, **Eryn** went into constant trap checking mode. She detected and disarmed a pressure-switch pit trap on a stairway landing. From the landing, the path went east and west. East was up stairs, west was down stairs. They descended the western stairs to a small, lit office containing a desk and a chair. **Eryn** searched the desk and found a prisoner log; while it listed many individuals, there was no mention of **Princess Seraphine Valoris**. There were a lot of names though, some crossed out and some with the letter "T" beside them.
