Wiki of The Dungeoneering Crew

This session was pretty straight forward. It was a lot of fighting and exploring as the two sets of adventurers, entering a maze of tunnels from different points, worked there way through them. Each group had separate initial agendas. One of the groups consisted of Brandy, Kipp, Oglesby, and Elenor. They were looking to get rid of the little blue creatures that had invaded the Blue Dragon, Fzen'nal's home and stolen a solid gold snuff box and a platinum cup. The other group was made up of Pyreece and Audra. They had been separated from the other group because they couldn't remain in the presence of the Fzen'nal. They were focused on finding the others and joining them. They understood that the other group was sent in to deal with the mites but nothing more.

Fzen'nal is pronounced, “Zenall”

Pyreece and Audra were in a battle with 3 mites. They had killed one already but then a forth one joined the fight. After a few more rounds, they killed all of them. Some of the mites used arrows with acid on them for additional damage. After they'd finished them off, they each drank a potion to heal some of the good bit of damage they took from them. Meanwhile, Brandy moved further into the next are in front of that group and heard the familiar laugh of the little mites just as one fired at her. He missed. But kept laughing as he ran off. Oglesby decided not to take the bait this time and they proceeded carefully rather than chase the little gremlins into a trap. Pyreece climbed out of the pit and she and Audra made their way further into the tunnels. Pyreece headed in a westerly direction remembering that the tunnel they were looking at in the dragon cave was on the west side of the cave. She'd figured that would be their best chance of finding the others.

Brandy and their group continued moving forward. Brandy had an arrow notched and ready to fire. She was a little ahead of the rest of her group and through her infra-vision, she was able to see a couple of mites preparing to fire on her. She beat one to the punch and dropped him in one shot. The other mite laughed at his friends demise. A moment later after a mite hit one of them, Brandy stuck the other one to the wall behind him. Pyreece and Audra moved further in. Pyreece noticed a horrible smell in front of her. Then she heard the tell tale laugh of the mites just as they fired on her. They hit her. There were 4 of them and they opened up on her. She took a bad hit from one of them.

In her anger, Pyreece rushed forward and though she tried to be a little careful as she did, she missed finding the pit before falling into it, this one with some acid at the bottom. The mites laughed at her situation. Audra crawled forward quickly and crawled on top of two of them, somewhat crushing them under her weight. It seemed like a good new strategy for fighting them. The other two mites laughed at that and fired at her. Both of them hit her. The pit was big enough that Pyreece could stand up and get a real swing on the mites. She hit one and he took the damage and continued laughing. Audra used her dagger to attack one of the mites under her and killed it. After another couple of rounds, they finished them off, Pyreece used a potion of cure moderate wounds to heal some of her damage. What Audra hadn't noticed at the time was that these creatures were taking a dump when they stumbled onto them. As a result, Audra had crawled through there excrement while crawling over them. She had mite poop smeared all over her armor.

Oglesby was checking for traps as they moved forward. Brandy had an arrow notched and ready to let go if anything showed itself. They moved east and then north. The tunnel turned east again. As they moved further east, Brandy began hearing a high pitched rhythmic sound. It sounded like there was some fornicating going on. Brandy said something about it to Oglesby but he couldn't hear it. As he moved further up the tunnel, he started hearing it as well. It sounded like more than one. As they entered the next chamber, they spotted several pairs of these mites in the throws of coitus. Along with the squeaky rhythmic sound coming from the females, they began hearing a rhythmic growling and grunting sound coming from the males. Brandy readied her bow. Pyreece kept moving down the tunnels south. She stayed low patting the ground looking for traps. The passage ahead got even more narrow. They continued forward. Pyreece rounded a corner going south and found a small chamber with piles of stuff in it. It was sort of like a trash heap with lots of things that look to have been discarded there.

Oglesby checked for traps before moving into the orgy room. Brandy followed him in and cleared the doorway for the others to get in. The chamber was still very short but otherwise it was a pretty large room. The love nest was occupied by three pair of the mite creatures doing the nasty. The mites seemed oblivious to their presence as they continued going at it like rabbits. Brandy fired at one of the males, hitting it and killing it. It screamed out a little more than normal but the rest didn't seem to notice as they must have thought he just climaxed. They moved in and attacked the whole group of mites with Kipp getting a kill in. Brandy actually missed once and Oglesby shot one and killed it.

The mites began to realize that they were under attack and began to respond more accordingly. Kipp killed another one while Barry moved forward to attack one but missed. Brandy hit and killed one. Elenor took her dagger out and crawled forward to attack and hit one of them. They finished off the rest of the group of oversexed mites. Pyreece and Audra made their way further south and discovered a couple of mite bodies. These mites had been shot by arrows that stuck them to the wall. It appeared they were fired on from the south. There were more bodies to the south. It had to be the others that did this. If they had been moving south, then they would have passed these two before being attacked from behind. Pyreece felt that it meant they came up from the south, firing north, into these two. That meant they were likely moving north. The only other two paths were north, they way that Pyreece and Audra had just come down, and east. Since they didn't pass them as they came down from the north, Pyreece surmised that it was likely that they came up from the south and went east. She looked for tracks or signs of there passing but other than the bodies, there wasn't any evidence of their passing.

Brandy and Oglesby searched the bodies of the mites they'd killed. Oglesby searched all of the tunnels leading out of the room for traps. They discussed it and decided to go south. They began searching for traps in that direction and started moving down there. Pyreece and Audra kept checking for traps and moved east then north and turned east again. Elenor and Kipp heard some noise from the passageway they had entered this room from. They turned and prepared for an attack. Brandy and Barry were focused down south and didn't notice that Kipp suddenly moved to protect Elenor from behind. Kipp could see the soft glow of light coming from behind them. He also noticed that whoever it was, was moving slowly, possibly crawling like they were. He prepared his short sword. About this time, he saw the familiar form of Pyreece creeping into view. There was a brief discussion as the two groups joined. They noticed the naked mites killed in this room. Brandy and Oglesby paused their move forward while taking in what was going on with the others. They were all obviously glad to have the two parties together again. Pyreece healed Brandy, Oglesby, and Audra.

They continued south following Oglesby. The tunnel split west and south. Oglesby moved west and the rest followed slowly behind him Audra took up the rear and waited at the last corner, watching for someone coming up that way. The two tunnels eventually merged just out of sight below. They regrouped down there and continued south. They went a little further and the paused there for the next week.
