Session Details
The T-Rex stops walking and begins making odd throated sounds. We spend the first few moments getting everyone up again. Zanfyr was forced to use Revivify on Snoggly but it worked and he is up. The rest were brought up with potions, healings, and the laying on of hands. Once we were all standing again, we see that the T-Rex is coughing up undead, much as a cat coughs up hairballs. Its rather disgusting. We quickly decide that we should use the Rope Trick spell to create a safe place to hide while we rest and recover a little. Snoggly casts that spell and we all make it inside.
As we climb down out of the pocket dimension after the rest is complete. We examine the area. The T-Rex has managed to cough up about 6 of these undead looking creatures. They are all just standing where we last saw them. Understanding that we are not ready for another fight, much less against a T-Rex, we decided to back out of the area. Haldar took the lead and the rest of us followed closely so as to avoid the worst spots and keep our movement speed up. Dain was his usual non-stealthy self so Haldar casts a Move Without Trace to aid in hiding our escape. Misty starts finding little shiny things to distract her. A little toy wooden sword but painted silverish. No one detected anything special about it. Snoggly did find writing on it that said, “Is no Blinsky, is no fun!”.
Misty and Haldar remembered that phrase in association with a plush toy of a werewolf from a chest in the werewolf leader’s room in the werewolf caves. Snoggly put the toy sword inside a bag, and we continued-on our way. As we moved on, we notice more toys in the mud and scattered on the ground around here. Misty finds it hard to restrain her curious nature as we continue to move on. Once fully cleared of the area, about 2 miles or so back the way we came, we moved off the trail and Snoggly ritually casts the Tiny Pizza Hut spell and we all entered to get a much-needed long rest. The time in there passed without any issues.
Once we were done there, we decided to continue our assault on the hag/witch. We still need to collect the Argynvost’s skull and the Wizard of Wines’, missing Gem, so we really must continue-on. Again, Haldar took the lead, and we made our way back to the house where the last battle took place. So-as-to avoid being caught in the spells which target areas, such as the Cloud Kill and Fireball spells that she unleashed on us so many times, we spread out. We keep about 20 feet between each of us. She might be able to catch two of us in any one spell but she leaves 5 of us to strike back.
The T-Rex was not where we left it, and neither were its undead lugi. We continued to make our way to the large structure we could barely make out in the distance. Assuming that is where the sound of the Ravens was coming from. We also believed the hag/witch was there as well. We continued slowly making our way there, passing the pen where the goats are kept, the graveyard, and a large structure that looked a little like a church, or something of that nature.
As the structure in the fog came into view, we found it to be a house, built on the stump of an enormous tree with the its roots looking more like the legs of a giant spider as they appear from underneath the house reaching out and down into the ground. From an open doorway, we could see the flickering light of a fire. When quiet, we could hear the sound of a woman singing a softly as a baby cries. Hanging near the front door were two iron cages filled with Ravens. Haldar moved out to the left of the house, keeping to the cover. Misty moved out to the right, also staying to the cover. They made it very close to the house. Misty came across the dragon skull on her side, floating in the mire.
The rest of the party, staying spread out, began moving forward. Rinn decided to move to the center of the front of the house and in doing so, managed to stir up the Ravens. The singing stopped and we heard a baby crying. Dain, Kyana, Snoggly and Zanfyr moved to cover and prepared their opening salvo’s. Misty had moved into the dragon skull and crouched down inside it to hide and wait for the hag/witch to come. She was ready to pounce, no pun intended. After a time, the singing started back again. David burped loudly! Rinn used his Mage Hand to unlock and open one of the Raven cages. Opening the cage made a lot of noise. The Raven’s poured out. He moved under the porch again and headed to the other end of the porch.
The bottom half of the skull rose up about 10 feet, even with the porch. The singing stopped again. Misty could hear murmurings of an arcane nature and cast Silence on herself. A moment later, the shadow of a figure appeared to peak out of the doorway. Everyone who was ready, let loose with their attacks. Dain fired, Snoggly used his wand of magic missiles, and Zanfyr casts a moonbeam on her, Misty hides in the skull prepared to shred the witch. That was the initial opening salvo. Now we settle into our initiative order.
Haldar moves out to get her in sight and fired on her. Misses one shot but critically strikes her on the next. Misty holds her action waiting for a victim to enter her area, assuming the witch will move to the skull and fight from there. Zanfyr steps up and casts Ice Knife at her. Striking her. He moves back behind the tree. Kyana is referred to as Kamala again and the gods are peppered with a mist of water. Kyana hits the witch with two of three rays of fire. The witch takes half damage from the moonbeam. After taking damage from the initial onslaught, she backed up into the house and casts Cloud Kill just outside the door. Initially, it only catches Rinn in the area of effect.
Snoggly lets loose with a Fireball. He sent it into the house. The eruption of explosive sound and flame was very satisfying to all of us. Rinn took the initial damage from the Cloud Kill that she had cast earlier but was able to move out of its range and avoid any additional damage from it. After that, the house seemed to come alive, and walked on its massive tree trunk legs. It moved forward to confront the enemy, us. It takes a swipe at Snoggly and at Dain. Both are hit.
We stopped here.

First thing next session, Haldar gets an attack of opportunity on the house as it moved away from him to attack Dain and Snoggly.
